Leo Laporte & Scott Bourne to spend up to $30K to trademark "Netcast"

As a result of the Apple enforcement of its "pod" trademark, Leo Laporte & Scott Bourne are willing to finance an effort to trademark "netcast" as an alternative to "podcast". They have agreed to foot an expected $30,000 cost to trademark the term, to be owned by a podcaster's trade group.
